Yemen Emergency Appeal

Yemen is currently in the midst of a humanitarian crisis. Yemen is currently experiencing an acute humanitarian crisis.

Yemen has 16 million people who are daily hungry. The health system in Yemen is in fact broken due to seven years of war. With nowhere else for help except at home dead or alive COVID19 virus sufferers are simply wasting time because doctors don’t have access to their communities; too to be fighting with one another, rather than focusing on saving lives.

The poor living conditions of the country have made it a breeding environment for HIV-related sexual transmittance. 4 million people are living in poverty, without a permanent home and can’t eat because food prices continue rise while wages stay low. Not enough money is available for basic necessities like clean water or medical care. It is because of this that the pandemic won’t be controlled without international assistance. But, it’s imperative to act swiftly before it is too late.

The Yemenite people have been fighting the spread of Cholera for quite a while until now, however they are not fully out-of danger just but. With the support of international organizations such as World Vision UK and Save The Children US along with COVID -19 being in place it appears that there may finally be something to look forward to in the near future.

Many generous donors have contributed their time and money to offer women in Yemen an opportunity to live a better life. The hospitals for pregnant women are aided by generous donations. This means that all women are able to give birth to babies with no health problems or dehydration. Rehabilitation units also provide post-birth care, including medication in the event of need.

A number of welfare trusts have begun giving hygiene kits to families in makeshift camps. They also provide safe drinking water to schools and hospitals as a response.
